We are currently seeking:

Training and Event Manager

We are seeking a proactive and highly motivated individual to join our team as the Training and Event Manager for BW Group in Oslo.

In this dynamic role, you will engage with a variety of stakeholders and colleagues across all levels of the organization. Supporting three BW companies—BW LNG, BW LPG, and BW Offshore—all based in our newly renovated, modern office, you’ll experience a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities.

Your primary focus will be to coordinate and manage all company events while serving as the main point of communication with employees across multiple platforms. Additionally, you will oversee employee training programs and organize sports and cultural activities within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate all staff events, workshops, and seminars
  • Manage Sport & Culture initiatives, as well as October welfare month activities
  • Support the onboarding process by arranging hotel bookings, induction programs, seating and access cards
  • Training coordinator - and ensure documentation
  • Organize bi-yearly health checks and annual flu vaccinations for staff
  • Follow up AMU requests and carry out elections for BW LNG and BW LPG
  • Participate in HSE assessments, including first aid, evacuation, and fire drills
  • Member of Business Continuity Response Team and maintenance of Business Continuity Plan and Crisis Management plan
  • Undertake HR administrative tasks such as managing long service awards, milestone birthday arrangements, and administering additional benefits
  • Handle invoices and monitor common office expenses for BW LNG and BW LPG
  • Follow up staff canteen services
  • Office furniture administration
  • Newspaper distribution
  • Manage the weekly "Looking Ahead" newsletter for the Oslo office
  • Office car parking administration
  • Meeting room preparations and closing during events
  • Manage wardrobe lockers and key administration for BW LNG and BW LPG staff
  • Ad-Hoc tasks and reporting depending on skills profile and experience

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in business administration or similar
  • 3-5 years relevant working experience
  • Experience in arranging events and vendor negotiation
  • Experience in information processing
  • Excellent command of English, verbal and written
  • Applicants must qualify for permanent residence permit for work purposes in Norway

You may be perfect for this role if you are well organized, conscientious, have great communication skills, like to work independently but also enjoy collaboration and contributing to a team. You like taking on responsibilities, have a strong personal drive, get things done and have an eye for details.
