We are currently seeking:

Technical Summer Intern

In order to support our vision to be Best on Water, BW is looking for a highly motivated summer intern to support our Technical team. BW LNG currently manages 23 LNG carries and 5 FSRUs from our Oslo office. Our Technical team consist of superintendents and technical support functions. Actual tasks will depend on qualifications and departmental needs at the time.

This is your opportunity to get hands-on experience in one of the world’s leading maritime organisations.

Potential Responsibilities:

To support Technical Superintendents with:

  • Maintenance management
  • Purchase and budget control
  • Technical support
  • Handling incident and non-conformity reports
  • Fuel performance
  • Reporting
  • Warranty and claims
  • Ad hoc duties

Qualifications:

  • Undergoing a degree in either Marine Technical Operation - Engineering, Maritime Leadership – Technical or other shipping related studies
  • Current 3rd and 4th year students are preferred
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English

Personal qualities:

  • High motivation and drive, flexible attitude
  • Proven ability to work independently, but with strong teamwork skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with cultural awareness
  • Strong analytical mindset
  • Great interest in development of technical solutions
