We are currently seeking:

Crew Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated crewing professional to join our experienced crewing team in Oslo. As a Crew Manager, you will oversee all aspects of crew operations for an assigned fleet of 10-12 vessels, working closely with local manning offices. This role offers an excellent opportunity for learning and professional development, especially for individuals who are curious, diligent, responsible, independent, and self-driven.

Responsibilities:

  • Budgets; Preparation of annual budgets, conduct monthly reviews and full year estimates
  • Cost control; Responsible for approving invoices, contracts, payroll, overtime, bonuses, and claims. Proactively manage costs by identifying and implementing cost-efficient solutions
  • Crew Planning; Oversee rotation & crew change plans, safe manning, experience matrices, Q88 and crew supply & demand reports
  • Crew Development; Conduct appraisals, training, assessments, promotions and manage disciplinary cases
  • Recruitment; Collaborate with manning offices to source and hire qualified crew members; monitor fleet recruitment needs using supply and demand reports
  • Medical; Handle P&I claims, medical emergencies, cost control, record keeping and PEME
  • Manning Agents; Liaise with and audit manning offices and agents
  • Account Management; Maintain effective internal customer relationships
  • Union; Follow up and ensure renewal and management of union agreements
  • Compliance; Training & qualification matrix, D&A tests, TMSA audits, MLC and Flag state requirements
  • Procedures; Update, develop, and implement crewing procedures

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor degree in Maritime studies or minimum 2-3 years’ experience with Marine HR or similar role
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills
  • Applicants must qualify for permanent residence permit for work purposes in Norway
