We are currently seeking:

Electroautomation Superintendent

BW LNG is currently seeking an Electro Automation Superintendent to join our LNG/FSRU Fleet team in Oslo. The successful candidate will be taking part in the daily operation of our ships and participate in exiting projects.

The selected candidate will be given responsibilities based on skills and experience which may include the following:

Responsibilities:

• Daily support to our vessels with respect to electrical-, automation and navigation equipment issues.
• Assist Technical Superintendents in conjunction with dry docking planning and execution.
• Act as interface between Fleet Teams and Fleet IT for ongoing IT-issues and -projects.
• Responsible for effective maintenance procedures for electrical and automation equipment.
• Contribute to training of onboard electrical officers when needed.
• Proactively propose for improvements and upgrades on electrical- and automation systems.
• Stay tuned with the market to keep updated on current electrical- and automation systems.
• Coordinate the use of sub-contractors in conjunction with upgrade projects onboard our vessels.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree within engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Transportation, or a related field with electro and automation specialisation. A relevant work experience could compensate for lack of formal education.
• Seagoing experience as Electro Technical Officer is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Ex- and High Voltage installations.
• Knowledge of Integrated Automation Systems, Integrated Navigation Systems and equipment, including Radio/GMDSS.
• Experience from Kongsberg Maritime installations will be an advantage.
• Good command of English.
• Applicants must qualify for permanent residence permit for work purposes in Norway.

 Location:
