Key Account Manager

BW LNG is seeking a Key Account Manager to join our Key Account Management and Operations team in Oslo.

Role Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for managing time charter contracts, ensuring operational performance, and cultivating long-term relationships with our charterers, joint venture partners, and key stakeholders.

This position offers a unique opportunity to combine customer engagement, contract management, and commercial problem-solving within one of the most dynamic sectors of global shipping and energy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strengthen and maintain relationships with customers, JV partners, and internal teams.
  • Manage LNG charter and JV contracts, ensuring contractual compliance and commercial performance.
  • Support negotiations and reconciliations, including offhire and voyage calculations.
  • Monitor financial performance across contracts, including revenue, cost, and profitability tracking.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to meet contractual obligations and identify commercial opportunities.
  • Oversee vessel budgets and risk management, including approvals and mitigation planning.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in shipping, business, finance, law, technical, or maritime disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience, preferably within LNG and chartering (pre- and post-fixture).
  • Strong understanding of commercial shipping contracts and chartering practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven communication skills and cross-cultural competence in international environments.
  • Full professional proficiency in English.
  • Applicants must qualify for permanent residence permit for work purposes in Norway.
