We are currently seeking:

People & Culture Manager

BW LNG will enhance its focus on People and Culture programs to improve overall safety culture. The overall responsibility of this new role is to drive human factor initiatives onboard our vessels, where the main focus for the time being are addressing respect/belonging and appraisals.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a main resource and ambassador for initiatives to promote diversity, inclusion and belonging (D,I&B).
  • Review and update BW's Zero Harm (ZH) behavior competency framework and appraisal process so that they align with internal and external requirements of safety behaviors onboard.
  • Ensure timely education and anchoring of our human element processes such as competence framework, recruitment, disciplinary and appraisal processes to drive the importance of people processes impact motivation, development and safety levels on board.
  • Ensure compliance with requirements such as OCIMF Human Factors: Management and Self-Assessment. This includes tracking existing initiatives against requirements and supporting new programs and processes to achieve compliance.
  • Assist with investigations if required and advise on corrective actions related to human factors.
  • Provide information, present trends and drive direction based on data derived from surveys.
  • Ensure BW LNG is at the forefront of human element activities, benchmarking against best practice from oil majors and the shipping industry.
  • Support BW LNG to be in compliance with Human Rights initiatives in line with Company and Charterers requirements.

Qualifications:

The right candidate preferably meets as many as possible of the following:

  • (MSc) in Human Resources or similar. Relevant experience may compensate for formal education.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in HR within the maritime/shipping industry.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • Applicants must qualify for a permanent residence permit for work purposes in Norway.
