We are currently seeking:

BW LNG Contract Manager

Manage existing customers, co-owners/JV partners, LNG & FSRU contracts, JV Agreements and stakeholders.  

Responsibilities:

  • Manage existing customers, co-owners /JV partners and ensure excellent relationships and smooth communication.
  • Responsible for managing LNG / FSRU Contracts as well as Customer and JV Management.
  • Draft, review and assist in negotiating various LNG & FSRU Contracts, Confirmation Memorandums, Term Sheets, HOA, MOU etc.
  • Executes strategy through defined projects and processes.
  • Supporting Regional heads in business development and negotiate terms and conditions of LNG / FSRU contracts with counter parties.
  • Manage time charters and FSRU contracts to ensure revenues, costs and profitability are maintained at expected levels, optimized and that performance obligations are met and followed up.
  • Review annual OPEX and Dry Dock budgets and seek necessary approvals.
  • Review off hire reconciliation statements and negotiate as required.
  • Liaise closely with accounts, cash management and finance team for Management reporting.
  • Oversee the charter party administration functions to ensure recovery of costs and timely collection of income.
  • Work closely with Operations and Fleet Management team to ensure smooth operation of fleet.
  • Provide information on charterers claims, insurance claims and other insurance related matters to the Commercial and Insurance departments for designated vessels.
  • Other supporting roles/assigned tasks related to managing LNG/ FSRU Contracts.
  • Ensure to complete all responsibilities as outlined in this JD in accordance with the company’s prevailing Health, Safety and Environment policy as described in the management system.
  • Actively participate and support in the development of the quality management system as part of the continuous improvement.
  • Carry out risk assessment of the contract and drive contractual improvements.
  • Participate in developing and building BW LNG’s contract management team for the future.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree. Legal background is a plus.
  • 3-5 years’ work experience in the Marine and Shipping / offshore industry.
  • Work experience in the LNG/ FSRU/ Shipping industry with contracts, pre / post fixture work.
  • Good understanding of LNG/ FSRU contracts.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

  • Attention to detail to discover potential legal / commercial risks in contracts and during operation.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning ability.
  • Global mindset coupled with cultural sensitivity.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
