We are currently seeking:

Electro Automation Superintendent

BW LNG is currently seeking an Electro Automation Superintendent to join our LNG/FSRU Fleet team in Oslo. The successful candidate will be taking part in the daily operation of our ships and participate in exiting projects.

The selected candidate will be given responsibilities based on skills and experience which may include the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert support to our fleets regarding electrical, automation, and navigation equipment.
  • Contribute to OPEX and dry docking budget planning by providing accurate input and taking a cost-efficient approach.
  • Collaborate closely with technical teams on dry docking - planning and execution, maintenance planning, and fleet upgrades.
  • Acting as the primary link between vessels, suppliers, contractors, and fleet management for electro-technical projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing maintenance best practices, upgrades, and process enhancements across the fleet.
  • Share knowledge and expertise to mentor and support the development of current and future electrical officers and foster technical excellence.
  • Proactively recommend and initiate solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and vessel performance.
  • Keep up to date with emerging technologies, systems, and industry best practices to ensure BW LNG maintains its leading position in maritime industry.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree within engineering or a related field with electro and automation specialisation. A relevant work experience could compensate for lack of formal education.
  • Seagoing or Offshore experience within Electro or Automation is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Ex- and High Voltage installations.
  • Knowledge of Automation Systems, Navigation Systems and equipment, including Radio/GMDSS.
  • Experience with makers like Kongsberg Maritime, ABB or similar is an advantage.
  • Good command of English.
  • Applicants must qualify for permanent residence permit for work purposes in Norway.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with cultural awareness.
  • Proactive with a strong personal drive.
  • Good analytical skills/assessment ability.
  • Have a holistic perspective, without losing attention to details.

Location:

  • The position will be based in our office in Oslo, Norway. Traveling will be required for this position.
